I could identify and rel...I really loved this post! I could identify and relate with so much of it. I liked the part about time getting shorter, and your sentence about "Gradually the house would plump, with cookies and sleigh bells, fat pine limbs and twinkling lights," was beautiful and painted a complete picture in my mind. Am I weirding you out with the gushing? I might be. Anyway, I started to listening to Christmas music around Halloween too. So many of the songs are beautiful ones of praise and worship, so I see nothing wrong with singing them all year long.
